The Santa Clara University women's water polo team had 14 student-athletes honored Thursday on the 2026 Golden Coast Conference All-Academic Team, marking the ninth consecutive year the program has had double-digit GCC All-Academic honorees.
 
Santa Clara's run of 11-or-more GCC All-Academic Team members every year started in 2018, and it has collected 13 or more awards for seven consecutive years (since 2020). Monday's conference all-academic awards follow senior utility Megan Chambliss landing on the College Sports Communicators At-Large Academic All-District Team last month.
 
16 of 20 Broncos on the roster carried cumulative Grade Point Averages of 3.001 or higher through the 2025-26 academic year, and none of the 20 student-athletes on the team had a GPA lower than 2.8. Freshman center Hailey Romano led the way with a 3.924 GPA in biology. Eight total Broncos had cumulative GPAs of 3.700 or higher.
 
The GCC All-Academic Team consists of student-athletes that have competed in at least 50% of games in the current season, carry over a 3.0 cumulative Grade Point Average while being classified as a "full-time" student for all terms of the academic year, and have completed a minimum of one academic year at her institution (including true freshmen).
 
The GCC honored 122 student-athletes this year on its all-academic team. The Broncos' 14 honorees were tied for third-most in the conference behind only San Diego State (16) and Pacific (15).
