SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The Santa Clara University women's volleyball team collected two West Coast Conference weekly honors Monday, with junior opposite hitter Morgan Hayes being named Offensive Player of the Week and junior setter Macy Hinshaw earning the Setter of the Week title for the week of Aug. 31-Sept.6.
 
Hayes totaled 63 kills with a 4.85 k/s average while hitting .333 across four matches on the road in helping Santa Clara to a 2-2 week. She had double-digit kills in all four matches, including 21 at tournament host Yale on Saturday. Hayes went on a 40-attack errorless streak across matches versus Manhattan and Hofstra on Friday and Saturday. She had no errors in the match with 16 kills in 24 attempts (.667 hit %) versus Manhattan, then started errorless on her first 16 attacks with eight kills versus Hofstra. She also had two service aces in the Broncos' 3-0 sweep at Cincinnati Tuesday.
 
Hayes is second in the nation in total kills (122) and points (135.0) as of Monday. She also ranks No. 11 in the country with 4.52 kills per set.
 
Hinshaw averaged 11.15 assists per set in four road matches while also playing stout defense at the net, helping Santa Clara to a 2-2 week away from home. The junior had no fewer than 26 assists in all four of her matches. She tied a career and season-high with 54 assists for the second time in 2026 versus tournament host Yale on Saturday. She also had multiple blocks in all four matches, including tying a career high with four at Cincinnati on Tuesday. She totaled 10 blocks for the week (0.77 b/s). Hinshaw added 31 digs (2.38 per set), two kills and two service aces during the week.
 
Hinshaw has been one of the nation's best setters through the season's first two weeks. She leads the entire country with 287 total assists and is No. 24 in the NCAA with 10.63 assists per set.
 
Hayes, Hinshaw and the Broncos return to Santa Clara this week for their first home matches of the season. They host their own Santa Clara Mission Classic, welcoming San Diego State, CSU Bakersfield and California on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
