Men's Tennis Returns Home to Face UC Davis & Grand Canyon

NOTES
  • After two-straight weekends on the road, Santa Clara returns home for a pair of matches against UC Davis and Grand Canyon.  The Broncos face UC Davis on Friday and Grand Canyon on Saturday.
  • Santa Clara is 2-0 this season at the Degheri Tennis Center. 
  • The Broncos are coming off a weekend split in Southern California, beating San Diego State 4-1 before losing to San Diego in the West Coast Conference opener.
  • Transfer Christian Lerby is undefeated in singles play this spring going 5-0 with four of those wins coming at No. 3 and the other win at No. 2. 
  • Lerby also tops the team in doubles wins with four.  He has teamed up with Guillaume Dalmasso to go 4-1 at No. 2.  
  • SCU has blanked three opponents this season - Seattle, UC San Diego and UC Santa Cruz.  
  • Santa Clara was picked to finish fourth in the West Coast Conference in the WCC preseason poll.
  • The eight-player squad is comprised entirely of upperclassmen.  Graduate Students (4): Santiago Hinojosa, Christian Lerby, Arthur Neuhaus and Jack Pulliam; Seniors (3): Nick CmagerMatthew Rodriguez and Mann Shah; Junior (1): Guillaume Dalmasso
  • In the fall, Hinojosa led the team with eight singles wins while Pulliam had the most doubles wins with seven.
  • The Broncos hired a new assistant coach, Edson Ortiz last May.
