Eight Softball Members Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

The eight Bronco honorees posted a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2022-23.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced on Tuesday that eight Santa Clara softball student-athletes were named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2022-23 academic year.

The eight Broncos – Emma Bickford, Leiora Davidson, Sage Hager, Bailey McLaughlin, Sammy Needham, Morgan Salmon, Bethany Shih and Ashley Trierweiler – were recognized after posting a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Bickford, McLaughlin, Needham, Salmon and Trierweiler are repeat honorees from last season when seven Broncos were recognized.

In total 2,515 Division I student-athletes earned the honors this year.
