SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's volleyball team fell to the Pepperdine Waves 3-0 on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, Calif. The Broncos were led by
Elena Radeff with 14 kills, hitting .400, her second straight game in double figures and fifth of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Three straight points for the Broncos put them up 7-4 after a kill by Tia Kapihe. However, Pepperdine answered, scoring four straight to take an 11-10 lead. The set went back-and-forth until Pepperdine scored six in a row to go up 22-15, forcing a Santa Clara timeout. The Broncos cut it to 23-19 after a kill from Layla Truitt, but Pepperdine scored the final two points of the set for a 25-19 victory.
- Pepperdine (13-10, 10-3) took a 6-2 lead to open the second set, and later 10-3, after four straight points. Pepperdine scored the final five points of the set to take a 25-11 victory.
- The Waves jumped out to a 7-0 lead to start the third set, and later 12-5. Three straight points from Pepperdine made it 22-11, and the Waves scored the final three points of the set to take the set 25-13, and the match 3-0.
NOTABLE NUMBERS:
- Elena Radeff led the Broncos with 14 kills, hitting .400, her fifth game of the season in double figures, and second straight.
- Nive Tuileta (15) and Macy Hinshaw (11) posted double figures in assists for the 22nd and 14th time this season.
- The Broncos fell to 0-2 against Pepperdine this season.
