SAN JOSE, Calif. - Santa Clara beach completed the weekend with a split, securing a 3-2 win over USF but only managing to secure one pair win against San Jose State. In the match-up against the Dons, it all came down to the one slot, which ended up requiring extra sets. There, Elena Radeff and Katie Kishton clinched the dual with a 15-9 victory in the third set.

Starting out the day against the Spartans, SJSU took an early 2-0 lead after winning at the two and four slots. Alexie Epstein and Alexandra Urbina were the sole Bronco pair to finish on top, staging a comeback after losing the first set. This duo won the second set 21-15 and secured the third set 15-10.

Santa Clara is now 2-0 against the Dons this season after defeating USF 3-2. To start the dual, it was even at 1-1 after the four slot secured a win. The three and five slots also split, leaving the dual tied at 2-2. It came down to Radeff and Kiston, who were unable to take the first set but came back and won the second 21-19. Heading into extra sets, the duo clinched the game and the match with a score of 15-9.
