Erin Lindsey Signs Five-Year Contract Extension

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – On the heels of one the most successful seasons over the past 10 years, Santa Clara volleyball head coach Erin Lindsey has signed a five-year contract extension that will keep her at the helm of the program through the 2030 season. Director of Athletics Heather M. Owen made the announcement on Friday.

"Coach Lindsey continues to advance our volleyball program in meaningful and measurable ways," said Owen. "Her commitment to recruiting high-character student-athletes, building a strong team culture, and competing at the highest levels of the WCC align with our department's goals."

Originally hired in December 2018, Lindsey just wrapped up her seventh season with the Broncos in 2025. The team saw tremendous success with a 17-12 overall record – their most wins since Lindsey's first year at the helm in 2019 when the Broncos were 21-12 – and a fourth-place finish in the WCC standings with a 12-6 mark in league play. The 12 WCC wins were their most since 2015 and are tied for the second-most conference wins in program history.

The 2025 campaign also saw the Broncos string together a seven-match win streak from Oct. 18 through Nov. 13, which stands as their longest win streak since the 2016 campaign. They were 8-4 in home matches inside the Leavey Center with a 6-2 mark against WCC opponents in such games.

Individually, a total of six Broncos earned All-WCC honors – the most of Lindsey's tenure and second-most in program history behind seven honorees in 2014. The team also had a program-record 10 honorees earn WCC All-Academic honors.

"I am so grateful for the privilege to continue to lead the Bronco volleyball program," Lindsey said. "It is really special to coach at a University so aligned with my values and focused on an exceptional student-athlete experience. I am so excited to continue to build towards WCC championships."
