SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara softball team announced its ultra-competitive
2026 schedule comprised of 52 total games featuring games against nine teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament including rematches against Grand Canyon and Arizona from last season's Tucson Regionals as well as against the defending national champions, Texas.
Santa Clara is coming off a historic 2025 season making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history with a school record 32 wins and 11 West Coast Conference victories (in 15 games). They return six WCC performers - conference Player of the Year

Hazyl Gray who was the WCC Player of the Year two seasons ago; WCC second team selection

The 2026 campaign opens at the Grand Canyon Kickoff Classic (Feb. 6-8). The tournament in Phoenix features a pair of 2025 NCAA Tournament qualifiers in Weber State and the host institution, Grand Canyon, along with Southern Utah.
The following week, the Broncos has their home opener against Illinois State at the Silicon Valley Classic (Feb. 12-15). It includes three NCAA Tournament teams - Cal, UC Santa Barbara and Washington. A total of nine games will be played inside Santa Clara Softball Stadium with the Broncos participating in six of them.
After a midweek home game against UC Davis (Feb. 17), the DeMarini Invitational Tournament awaits (Feb. 20-22). Joining host Stanford, perennial powerhouse programs Texas and Arizona will be on hand, plus Boise State.
A midweek doubleheader at Cal Poly (Feb. 24) is next, followed by the annual Capital City Classic (Feb. 27 – March 1) co-hosted by Sacramento State and UC Davis in the final tournament of the spring.
A pair of doubleheaders against San Jose State (March 7) and Fresno State (March 8) along with a three-game series versus Montana (March 14-15) and Portland State (March 22-23) marks the end to the bulk of the nonconference schedule.
The Broncos will begin their defense of the WCC title against LMU on the road (March 27–29) as part of an 18-game league slate. With the inclusion of the new member Seattle U, each of the seven conference member schools will play six three-game series.
Back-to-back home series against Oregon State (April 2-4) and San Diego (April 10-12) follows before hitting the road to face Pacific (April 17-19). After a bye weekend, they travel to the Pacific Northwest to play Seattle U (May 1-3).
In between the WCC slate, they play midweek nonconference games against another 2025 NCAA Tournament qualifier in Florida State (April 8) and face Stanford (April 22) for the second time, both at home.
The Broncos close out the regular season at home against Saint Mary's (May 7-9) with Senior Day on the final day.
