SAN FRANCISCO – On the second day of the Battle in the Bay Classic tournament on Friday, the Santa Clara men's tennis doubles team of Alexander Watanabe Eriksson and John Kim dropped their consolation match to the pair from Arizona State.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Watanabe Eriksson and Kim lost to Jelani Sarr and Niels Villard 6-3.
• The Broncos duo lost their second straight at the prestigious Battle in the Bay Classic after qualifying by winning the doubles wildcard tournament last weekend.  

NEXT UP:

• The third day of the Battle in the Bay Classic continues on Saturday.  Watanabe Eriksson and Kim are scheduled to play extra singles matches.
