SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Monday's non-conference matchup between the Santa Clara University baseball team and Stanford has been canceled due to forecasted rain in the area Monday evening. A makeup date and time has not yet been scheduled, but will be announced soon.
The two teams met on Wednesday for a non-conference midweek clash at Stanford, with Santa Clara (14-24) coming away with a 2-1 victory. The Broncos used 10 pitchers in the game and were getting no-hit until two outs in seventh inning, when
Luke Devine drove in two runs with an RBI single, putting SCU ahead. The victory was Santa Clara's sixth come-from-behind win this season and marked its 19th deficit erased in 2026.
Stanford (17-19) dropped the first two games of its home Atlantic Coast Conference series versus Miami over the weekend before winning the finale on Sunday, 14-6. Santa Clara went on the road for a three-game West Coast Conference at Pacific and was swept.
