SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf is set to begin the 2026-27 season on Monday and Tuesday with a trip to Chandler, Ariz. to take part in the Bomb Dart Birds Collegiate. It is the first of five events the Broncos are set to compete in over the course of the fall before the flip of the calendar.
Entering their seventh season under the direction of

Santa Clara has posted the top two team scoring averages in program history over the last two years, tallying 283.72 strokes in 2025 and 284.58 strokes last year. The 2026-27 roster includes several key returners, including All-WCC performers
J.P. Odland and
Matt Robles.

Robles is just behind his teammate on the all-time scoring average list at 71.29 strokes per round, and is coming off an outstanding sophomore campaign that saw the Downey, Calif., product average a team-best 71.06 strokes per round en route to honorable mention All-WCC honors.
Other key returners include juniors
Emil Nielsen and
Jack Hayden, and sophomores
Tucker Sweeney and
Max Margolis. A pair of newcomers also figure to factor into the lineup early this season in the form of Cal Baptist transfer
