AS A FRESHMAN IN 2024: Played in 41 games, started in 33 ... all 33 starts came behind the dish ... had a slash line of .240/.342/.365 on the year ... hit a season-high three hits and four RBIs including a pair of home runs against UC Santa Barbara (March 2) ... also had a home run against Boise State (March 17) ... had four-multi hit and two multi-RBI games ... had four stolen bases in four attempts ... committee three errors in 158 chances for a .981 fielding percentage ... threw out seven of 38 attempted base stealers.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2023 graduate of Los Alamitos High School in Los Alamitos, California ... in 2023 helped her team to a CIF-SS Sunset League Championship title ... named second team All-Sunset League in senior year ... named Sunset League All-Academic Team all four years ... helped lead her team to a 2023 Michelle Carew Classic Championship title and was named to the Carew Classic All-Tournament Team ... selected to the Orange County- North vs South All-Star Team ... hit .404 with a .445 OBP, a .690 SLG, and 3 home runs ... was a 2022 CIF Southern Section Division-1 Finalist ... LAHS was the Dave Kops Tournament of Champions first place champion in 2020, third place in 2022, and second place in 2023 ... GET TO KNOW TARYN: Grew up in Seal Beach, California, and began playing softball when she was five years old ... in her free time, she enjoys cooking, surfing, and playing guitar ... favorite memory is volunteering in Costa Rica the summer after graduating high school ... parents are Mike and Debbie, an older brother, Ryan, and a bunny named Pepsi ... currently studying Neuroscience.
