Women's Tennis Concludes Play at SMC Fall Invite on Sunday

 
MORAGA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis concluded play at the Saint Mary's Fall Invite tournament on Sunday picking up eights singles and four doubles wins over the three-day tournament.  
 
Freshman Jamie Schroer recorded a team-high four wins, including three singles victories to advance to the semifinals of the B Draw.  In the semifinal match on Sunday, Schroer fell to San José State's Alba Pedrero Galindo in three sets, 7-5, 0-6, 6-4.  
 
In other Sunday action, junior Maddie Pothoff beat SJSU's Tamara Culibrk, 7-6(5), 6-3, in the extra singles session for her third win of the tournament.  Pothoff teamed up with junior Caitlyn Frankel for two wins in the doubles A Draw to advance to the semifinals on Friday.  
 
The Broncos next play at the ITA Regional Championships at Stanford, California, Oct. 18 – 23.
