PARADISE ISLAND - Santa Clara women's golfer Patricia Garre Munoz turned in the best finish of her young Bronco career at the White Sands Bahamas Invite, finishing in a tie for eighth at 9-over 225 after carding an even par 72 in Sunday's final round. As a team, Santa Clara shot a 2-over 290 for the day, which proved to be the second-lowest 18-hole score among the entire field for the whole weekend, as they finished up the fall portion of their 2023-24 schedule .

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:

• Garre Munoz, a graduate student, totaled five birdies in her final round. The 72 tied for the second-lowest individual round of any Bronco for the weekend. 
•  Kelsey Kim tied her teammate with a 72 as well on Sunday to finish in a tie for 17th at 11-over 227. Meva Schmit finished four strokes behind in a tie for 27th at 15-over 231. 
• Inara Sharma turned in the lowest round of the weekend for Santa Clara on Sunday, tallying a 2-under 70 that featured four birdies. She climbed 11 spots on the final day to finish 29th at 16-over 232. 
• Brianna Park, playing as an individual, also had a big day with a 2-over 74 to climb up to 38th at 21-over 237, while Audrey Brust rounded out the Broncos contingent a stroke behind in a tie for 39th. 
• Kansas State (20-over 884) won the team title and claimed the individual medalist in Haley Vargas (1-over 217).
