SAN FRANCISCO - Santa Clara women's golf is in second place following 36 holes of play at the Juli Inkster Tournament. The Broncos shot 8-over 290-294--584 in Monday's opening day at the par-72, 6,275 TPC Harding Park and are just six shots behind Cal ahead of tomorrow's final round.
Chloe Lam is tied for third place individually after a 1-under 143 performance over the first two rounds.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- A total of three Broncos sit inside the top 12 of the standings - Lam, Kelsey Kim (t-8th) and Audrey Brust (t-12th).
- Lam began the day with an even par opening round and shot 1-under in the second round. She had seven total birdies over the two rounds.
- Kim turned in five birdies as part of a 1-under 71 opening round. She returned in the afternoon to play a mostly clean round, but had a pair of bogeys on the back nine to finish the day 1-over 145.
- Brust shot 73s in both of her rounds to finish the day 2-over 146.
- Rachael Wang (151) and Amy Im (153) are tied for 39th and 55th, respectively.
- Santa Clara holds a one-stroke lead over host-San Jose State (585).
- Cal's Constance Fouillet leads the field at 6-under 138 followed by Sacramento State's Tova Hatton (140) and a four-way tie for third at 1-under 143, including Lam.
