SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO - Santa Clara women's golf sophomore
Audrey Brust has been named to the 2024 WCC Women's Golf Preseason All-Conference Team, as selected by the league's head coaches. The Broncos were tabbed to finish second as a team with six total points, including one first-place vote.
Brust played in all four events during the fall, tallying a 73.92 stroke average and finishing in the top-40 of each event individually. Her best outing was in the season-opener at the UVU Collegiate Shootout where she finished in a tie for fourth en route to tying for the second-lowest 54-hole total in program history of 8-under 208 (70-68-70). As a team, Santa Clara shattered the program record with an 18-under 846 and took second place. Brust also turned in a top-15 finish at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational where she tied for 13th at 2-over 70-72-76--218.
Brust and the Broncos will begin the spring portion of their season on Feb. 5-6 at the Alice and John Wallace Classic, hosted by Long Beach State in Seal Beach, Calif.
