SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's volleyball team swept the Oregon State Beavers for the second time this season on Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Leavey Center. The Broncos were led by
Oren Abutbul with 12 kills, her ninth game of the season in double figures, hitting a season high .409.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Broncos (7-13, 3-8) scored three straight points after a kill from Oren Abutbul to take a 9-6 lead to open the first set, and later 16-10 after a five point rally capped off by a kill from Alayna Crabtree. Four straight Broncos points made it 22-14 after a kill from Oren Abutbul, and the Broncos finished off the set 25-19 with another kill by Oren Abutbul.
- The second set went back-and-forth until Santa Clara scored three straight points to take a 19-17 lead, and later 22-19, after a kill from Oren Abutbul. A kill from Lauren Grover finished off the set for the Broncos, 25-21.
- Set three was neck-and-neck until three straight points for the Broncos capped off by a service ace from Lexi Trapani gave them a 12-9 lead, however, Oregon State scored three straight to tie it up at 12. Another three point rally for the Broncos put them ahead 17-13 capped off by a service ace from Lauren Grover. A kill by Layla Truitt extended the Broncos lead to 23-17, and an Oren Abutbul kill gave the Broncos the 25-19 set victory for a 3-0 sweep.

NOTABLE NUMBERS:
- Oren Abutbul led the Broncos with 12 kills, her ninth game of the season in double figures, hitting a season high .409.
- Macy Hinshaw led the team with 21 assists, her 12th game of the season in double figures, while Nive Tuileta added 16, her 20th game in double figures this year.
- The Broncos hit .351 as a team, their second highest hitting percentage of the season.
- Lexi Trapani added 10 digs, her third straight game in double figures and seventh of the season.
