SACRAMENTO - Santa Clara women's golf is tied for seventh after the opening two rounds of the Causeway Invitational. The Broncos turned in a 27-over 293-309-603 with
Kelsey Kim leading the charge at 3-over 147.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Broncos started the day strong with an opening round score of 6-over 294. The team tallied 13 total birdies over the 18 holes.
- The second round proved to be more of challenge as SCU shot a 21-over 309 and slipped three spots back to tie British Columbia for seventh.
- Kim had a consistent day with a 73 and 74 for a 36-hole total of 147 to tie for 17th. She is just three strokes behind the six-way tie for the lead of even par-144.
- Three Broncos are tied for 35th at 8-over 152 - Patricia Garre Munoz (playing as an individual), Inara Sharma and Audrey Brust.
- Lauren Shew and Meva Schmit are tied for 45th at 10-over 154.
- Sacramento State leads the field of 12 at 3-over 579.
