TEMPE, Ariz. – The International Tennis Association released the NCAA Division I Men's Mid-Major Rankings as well as Regional Rankings and Award recipients with the Santa Clara men's tennis team represented well in all categories.
The Broncos had a representation in each of the four different rankings that includes the top 25 mid-major programs nationally along with regional rankings for the top 10 teams, top 20 singles and top 10 doubles plus two award recognitions.
Santa Clara was ranked No. 20 in the mid-major rankings and No. 4 in the Northwest Regional rankings. It was the fourth straight season the team finished in the top-10 of the ITA regional team rankings. Last season, SCU finished fifth matching the rankings from 2021, the highest they've reached during the streak.

Guillaume Dalmasso cracked the Northwest Regional singles rankings at No. 10 and 14, respectively, after finishing No. 9 and No. 18 a year ago. Lerby had the highest ranking among all WCC players in the Northwest Region, which includes Portland, San Francisco, Gonzaga and Saint Mary's in addition to Santa Clara.
The Bronco duo also finished ranked No. 6 in the Northwest Regional doubles rankings posting the highest ranking among all WCC players in the region.
Dalmasso also took home the Northwest Region's Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award for exhibiting outstanding leadership, as well as scholastic, extracurricular and tennis achievements. It was the second straight year a Bronco won the award with
Arthur Neuhaus winning it last year.
A two-time West Coast Conference All-Academic Team member, an ITA Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-District, Dalmasso will graduate with a bachelor's degree in business finance and served as one of the leaders in the team's partnership with Team IMPACT which matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved.
Santa Clara head coach
Niall Angus was named Wilson ITA Coach of the Year in the Northwest Region after leading the team to a 19-8 record, their most wins since the 2011-12 season, earned a postseason berth to the UTR Sports NIT Championship Tournament and finished ranked No. 59 nationally. Finishing his eighth season at the helm, SCU was ranked nationally for 12 straight weeks reaching a high of No. 53, the highest since 2014-15, defeating four nationally ranked teams along the way. The last time the program has been ranked this many times in a season was the 2013-14 campaign when they were ranked 15 times.
