BERKELEY and MORAGA, Calif. – The Santa Clara women's tennis team picked up a total of five victories over the weekend at the ITA Regional Championships with three of those coming on Sunday to wrap up play.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Santa Clara won three singles extra matches on Sunday to finish the ITA Regionals on a high note.  Anna Rahman, Ashley Katz and Tian Yu Dong each won.  Rahman saved three match points in the second set and won in a tiebreaker over UC Davis' Aileena Hu 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6).  
• Katz also won an extra match on Saturday with a straight set win over Daria Nazarenko of Seattle U 6-3, 6-4.  
• The other victory over the weekend came in a consolation doubles match.  Jamie Pope and Anna Rahman downed Portland's Kennedy Harris and Kylie Canubida 6-4. 
• On Saturday, Tian Yu Dong dropped her main draw match in the round of 64 to Maya Youssef of UC Davis.  She also lost her main draw doubles match while paired with Katz to Washington's tandem of  Reece Carter and Jermine Sherif in the round of 32.
