STOCKTON, Calif. – On the second day of the ITA Regional Championships on Friday, Santa Clara men's tennis advanced three doubles teams and four singles players to the next round of the main draw.  Tiago Boschmans, Luca Bluett and John Kim were victorious in both disciplines while Alexander Watanabe Eriksson won his doubles match and advanced in a walkover in singles.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• The doubles tandem of Valentin Faure/Luca Lemaitre, Watanabe Eriksson/Boschmans and Kim/Bluett each won their opening round of 32 matches. 
• Mahir Khurana and Lukas Maskow teamed up to defeat Portland State's Ignacio R Marquinez and Aarjun Pandit 8-5 in the round of 64 before falling 8-0 in the next round to Oregon's Matthew Burton and Sam Olszakowski.  
• In the singles round of 64, Boschmans took down Thibaud Maxant of Saint Mary's in three sets.  Bluett and Kim won their matches in straight sets over Portland State's Luca Prino and Saint Mary's Paulo Etchecoin.  Watanabe Eriksson moved on as Cal's Alexander Aney withdrew before the start of play.
