Women's Soccer Adds Texas A&M Transfer

SANTA Clara, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer has added transfer Maysen Veronda to their 2026 roster. The California native spent her first two seasons at Texas A&M. She joins a signing class that has already added five freshmen.

Last season Veronda started in 10 matches for the Aggies where she posted three shutouts. She had shutouts against Lafayette, Texas, and South Carolina. Veronda made 33 saves for a .855 save percentage and had a 1.27 GAA for the season.
 
She played just one match as a freshman in 2024 before going down with an injury. In her only appearance, she collected three saves while shutting out Lamar in the season opener.
 
Veronda earned an invite to the Philippines National Team Training camp after her freshman campaign.
 
She played club for Slammers HB Koge from 2022-23 and the team claimed the Surf Cup in 2022 while Veronda was named Best of the Best. Prior to that, she played for the San Diego Surf and led the team to three straight Surf Cup Best of the Best titles. The team also took home the Manchester City Cup crowns in 2019 and 2021 and went o the ECNL National Championship finals in 2021. She began her club career with Strikers Orange County in 2016.
 
Veronda was a three-year letterwinner at JSerra Catholic High School where she earned All-Trinity League First Team honors in 2022 and 2023. She was named the 2023 JSerra Catholic High School Girls Soccer Team MVP.
 
In the classroom, Veronda was named SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll for 2024-25. In high school, she earned academic distinction on the Honor Roll and Principal Honor Roll every semester.

"Maysen is a wonderful addition to our team. She adds quality and experience to our goalkeeper position. She is very good now, and has a lot of untapped potential that we hope to help her realize over the next three seasons," Santa Clara head coach Jerry Smith said.
