PALM DESERT, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf finished tied for 12th place at the Alice and John Wallace Classic, posting a final-round 9-over 293 for a tournament total of 39-over 891. Sophomore Kelsey Kim secured a top-20 finish, carding a final-round 1-under 70 for a 54-hole total of 3-over 216, just two shots off her career best.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Kim shared 19th place with USC's Xin (Cindy) Kou
- Kim and Audrey Brust each recorded five birdies, contributing to the team's tournament total of 18.
- Chloe Lam led the field in pars with 42, while Kim followed closely only one stroke behind to tie for second.
- The Broncos ranked fourth in par-5 scoring, playing them at even par in the final round.
- Proud Sriwongngam shot a career low of 227 this weekend, finishing with 14-over 77-76-74
- Oregon claimed the first-place title with a score of 34-under 818, and USC took runner-up at 11-under 841, the only two teams to finish under par.
