VALENCIA, Calif. – The Santa Clara women's golf team completed the first day of competition at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Monday, sitting in sixth place after the opening round before slipping to a tie for eighth following the second round. The Broncos posted a combined score of 304-313—617 through 36 holes of play.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Sophomore Kelsey Kim led the way for Santa Clara, delivering a 2-under 70 in the morning round to secure third place individually. She shot a 79 in the second round to bring her combined score to 5-over 149, tied for 16th.
- The Broncos recorded nine birdies for the day.
- Chloe Lam, Amy Im, Sonia Hao (Ind.), and Proud Sriwongngam rounded out the scores for the Broncos finishing in 34th, 38th, 47th, and 56th.
- UCLA currently leads the tournament with a total score of 2-under par with two of their players, Francesca Fiorellini and Angela Liu, claiming the top two spots at 7-under and 3-under, respectively.
