FAIRFIELD, Calif. - Freshman
Chloe Lam turned in the best round of the day to lead Santa Clara women's golf on the second day of action at the 2025 WCC Championship, finishing 1-over 73 at the par 72, 6,167-yard Green Valley Country Club to hold tight to her fourth-place position at even par-144 following 36 holes of work. As a team, Santa Clara slipped from their spot at top the leaderboard to third place after a collective 13-over 301 on Friday.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Lam's 73 was tied for the fourth-best round of the day of the 35-player field. She is one of just four players that have shot at par or better combined over the first two rounds and enters Saturday's championship round four strokes behind Oregon State's Rayo Nakoa (140) for the individual lead.
- Amy Im also enters Sunday inside the top 10 despite carding a 4-over 76 in the second round. She sits at 2-over total and tied for eighth.
- Audrey Brust (t-13th) and Proud Sriwongngam (18th) also rank inside the top-20 at 4 and 5-over, respectively.
- Oregon State and No. 40 Pepperdine both shot 2-over for the day while the rest of the field shot plus-10 or worse. The Beavers (576) hold a three-stroke lead over the Waves (579) entering the championship round.
