RENO, Nev. - Due to high winds causing unfavorable playing conditions, the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Reno Regional has been suspended for the day and will resume early on Tuesday morning. Santa Clara men's golf played just seven holes before play was officially suspended at 6:10 p.m., and are currently tied for seventh at 8-over par.
The round began with multiple delays due to the windy conditions. Teams were initially supposed to tee off at 8:00 a.m., but tournament officials deemed the conditions too rough and pushed back the start multiple times. Teams finally teed off in a shotgun start at 4:00 p.m., but only spent two hours on the course before play was suspended for the night.
