SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara women's tennis program signed
Ashley Katz, a former top 25 junior player from Australia who transferred from Kansas, for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
"After my visit to Santa Clara, I felt that both the academic and athletic environment was a perfect fit, allowing me to pursue both my academic and athletic goals at a high level," said Katz. "The coach's enthusiasm and sense of care was very welcoming, I can't wait to become a Bronco!"
Katz will have four years of eligibility remaining after redshirting last season for the Jayhawks.
"We're thrilled to welcome Ashley to the Bronco Tennis family," said Broncos head coach
Allie Will-Van Alstyne. "Ashley is a tremendous addition to our program—her energy, work ethic, and character align beautifully with the culture we're building here. I can't wait to begin this journey together and support her continued development both on and off the court."
