SAN BRUNO, Calif. – No. 16 Santa Clara women's soccer was picked to win the West Coast Conference in a poll of the league's head coaches. Kennedey Schoennauer was also named to the Preseason All-WCC Team.
 
Schoennauer led Santa Clara last season with 11 goals and 23 points en route to being name First Team All-West Region and First Team All-WCC. She recorded four multi-goal matches and had three game-winners.
 
The Broncos won the conference championship last season for the fourth time in the last five seasons and 14th time overall. They are looking to head back to the NCAA Tournament for the 35th time overall and 11th in a row.
