SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Santa Clara women's golf's Kelsey Kim started the spring season much like she closed out the fall — with a top-three finish in record-breaking fashion. The junior shot a 5-under 67 in Tuesday's final round of the San Diego State Classic to tie the program record for lowest 18-hole score and move up six spots in the standings to claim runner-up honors with a career-best 6-under 210. En route to the finish, Kim also broke both the single-season and career program records for rounds under par with 10 and 19, respectively.
Santa Clara finished third overall, using a 2-over 290 final round at the par-72 Bernardo Heights Country Club to move ahead of Sacramento State, Oregon State and UC Davis with a 54-hole total of 11-over 875. The Broncos have now finished in the top four of all five events they've played in 2025-26, including four top-three finishes.
HIGHLIGHTS

• Amy Im made her season debut after not competing in the fall and finished tied for 11th at 1-over (72-71-74—217), matching her career-best to-par finish (2025 Silicon Valley Showcase — 214 [+1]).
