SEATTLE — Liam Papavasiliou won his section in the mile and
Jack Tolbert delivered strong efforts in two events as the Santa Clara University men's track team closed out its indoor schedule Saturday at the Husky Classic inside the University of Washington's Dempsey Indoor Facility.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Papavasiliou ran a time of 4 minutes, 7.61 seconds to claim his section victory in the mile and finish 45th overall in a deep national field. In a separate section, Tolbert clocked 4:07.23 to place third in his heat and 44th overall.
- Tolbert also doubled back in the 3,000 meters, clocking 8:10.31 to place 29th overall and third in his heat against one of the strongest distance fields of the indoor season.
COMING UP
- The Broncos now look towards the outdoor season, which begins on March 6 with the Golden Gate Track Fest at San Francisco State.
