STANFORD, Calif. — The Santa Clara University men's track team added three all-time program marks Friday at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field, highlighting a busy night of racing for the Broncos.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Benjamin Pinkel led Santa Clara in the 800 meters, placing fourth overall in 1:50.79. His time ranks third all-time in program history. Connor Rickey added a ninth-place finish in 1:54.02 and took second in his heat, while Antonio Camacho-Bucks placed 15th overall in 1:55.56. Andrew Ho followed in 16th (1:55.65), and Coen Strub placed 22nd overall while finishing second in his heat.
   
• Eric Ortega-Gammill led a Santa Clara grouping in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, placing 14th overall in 9:18.77, the ninth-fastest mark in program history. McCoy Brooks followed in 15th with the No. 10 all-time mark at Santa Clara, running 9:20.55. Jack Tobin placed 16th in 9:21.75 as the trio finished fourth, fifth and sixth in the same heat, while James Estrella added a 20th-place finish in 10:04.25.
   
• Liam Papavasiliou led Santa Clara in the 1,500 meters, running 3:47.02 to place 16th overall and second in his heat. Jack Tolbert finished 28th in 3:52.32, and Jacob McManus added a 31st-place finish in 3:54.15 while placing fourth in his heat.
   
• Daniel Trampe led the Broncos in the 5,000 meters with a 38th-place finish in 14:06.72. Zafer Courcelle followed in 51st (14:27.60), with Daniel Vaca placing 54th in 14:33.74. William Carroll, Paul Beaven, James Ponzio and Jack Kyle also competed in the event.
