AZUSA, Calif. — The Santa Clara University men's track team turned in one of its strongest record-book performances of the season Friday and Saturday, adding 11 all-time top-10 marks at the Franson Last Chance Meet at Azusa Pacific's Cougar Athletic Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Liam Papavasiliou led the record push with the fastest 1,500-meter time in program history, setting a school record in 3 minutes, 43.82 seconds to place 14th overall and second in his heat. Jack Tolbert also moved up the Broncos' all-time list in the event, finishing 21st in 3:45.83, the sixth-fastest mark in school history. Antonio Camacho-Bucks placed 48th in 3:51.60, while Connor Rickey and Evan Charkut also competed in the event.

- Santa Clara also stacked five all-time marks in the 800 meters. Ben Pinkel led the Broncos with a ninth-place finish in 1:48.88, good for No. 2 all-time at Santa Clara. Papavasiliou added the No. 5 mark in program history with a heat-winning time of 1:51.94, while Tolbert, Camacho-Bucks and Andrew Ho also moved into the top 10. Tolbert ran 1:52.30 to place 40th overall, Camacho-Bucks followed in 1:52.41, and Ho clocked 1:52.99. Rickey added a 1:53.52 finish in the event.

- Daniel Trampe added another top-three overall finish for the Broncos in the 10,000 meters, placing third in 29:28.26. The time ranks fourth all-time in program history. It was his fourth different top-10 time this season after also running all-time Santa Clara marks in the indoor 5,000 (9th, 14:29.83), outdoor 3,000 (6th, 8:25.33), and outdoor 5,000 (6th, 14:05.82).

- The Broncos added three more all-time marks in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Daniel Vaca led Santa Clara with a third-place finish in 9:00.44, while Eric Ortega-Gammill, Jack Tobin and McCoy Brooks finished 10th, 11th and 14th, respectively. Ortega-Gammill ran 9:11.53 to move to No. 8 all-time, Tobin followed with the No. 9 mark in 9:11.67, and Brooks improved his No. 10 all-time mark with a time of 9:16.35.

- In the 5,000 meters, Zafer Courcelle led Santa Clara with a 17th-place finish in 14:29.15. Jacob McManus placed 25th in 14:37.55, and Charkut added a 52nd-place finish in 15:06.57.
COMING UP
- The Broncos will compete in their final regular season meet on Saturday at the West Coast Last Chance Meet, hosted by San Francisco State.
