SACRAMENTO - Santa Clara women's golf shot 20-over 300-296--596 in Monday's first two rounds of play at the Causeway Invitational held at the par-72, 6,086-yard Del Paso Country Club. The Broncos are in sole possession of sixth place while
Chloe Lam is in a four-way tie for eight place at even-par 144.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Lam had a mostly clean opening round, turning in a pair of birdies against just one double-bogey on the par-4 No. 18 hole. She then tallied five birdies against three bogeys and once again double-bogeyed the 18th to finish the day even at 72-72--144.
- Kelsey Kim is tied for 23rd at 5-over 75-74--149 while Audrey Brust and Rachael Wang, playing as an individual, are right behind her in a tie for 29th at 6-over 150.
- Amy Im (155) and Proud Sriwongngam (158) are tied for 52nd and 57th, respectively.
- Colorado was the lone team out of the field of 10 to finish under par for the day, carding a 3-under 573 to take a three-stroke lead over host-UC Davis (576) ahead of tomorrow's final round.
- UC Davis' Vani Karimanal and San Francisco's Eva Pett are tied for the individual lead of 4-under 140.
