Men's Golf Adds Cal Baptist Transfer

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf has added transfer Jared Abercrombie. Abercrombie comes other the Broncos after starting his collegiate career at Cal Baptist.

During the 2026 season, Abercrombie played in eight tournaments and 24 rounds with a scoring average of 71.4. He had five top-10 finishing with a high of third out of 104 golfers at the UC San Diego Invitational.

As a freshman with the Lancers in 2025, Abercrombie played in eight tournaments. He totaled 24 rounds and amassed 20 countable rounds, with an average score of 73.7. His best finish came at the El Macero Classic where he finished 12th of 92 golfers.

Abercrombie hails from Simi Valley, California where he attended Oaks Christian High School. While there, he was named the league's co-MVP and made two State Championship appearances. Abercrombie finished at minus-7 in the State Regionals as well as posting three consecutive rounds of 67 in league tournaments.

"He's shown tremendous growth over his first two years of college and is coming off an incredibly consistent year. His experience and commitment to excellence is going to be a major asset for the program and we are excited to see what he does on the course next year!"
