AS A JUNIOR IN 2025: Two-way player ... named All-WCC First Team ... one of three Broncos to start and play in all 54 games (along with Cairah Curran and Rebecca Rubio) ... started in 13 or more games in each of the three outfield positions ... made 23 appearances inside the circle including 10 starts ... tied for third in the WCC with 11 wins ... went 11-2 with a save and a 3.93 ERA ... had two complete games including a shutout ... notched a win in four of the five conference series (against San Diego, Pacific, Saint Mary's and LMU) ... threw a season-high 105 pitches in the complete game victory over UIC (Feb. 15) ... at the plate, posted a slashline of .303/.379/.448 with 16 extra base hits (11 doubles, two doubles and three home runs), scored 40 runs and had 36 RBIs ... led the WCC and tied for 11th nationally with six sacrifice flies ... finished in the top 10 in the WCC in runs (tied for third, 40), hits (eighth, 50), RBI (fifth, 36), doubles (tied for second, 11), triples (tied for seventh, two), hit by pitch (10th, eight), sacrifice flies (first, six), and stolen bases (10th, seven) ... had 12 multi-hit games including five three-hit games ... had seven multi-RBI games with a pair of three- and four-RBI games each ... named WCC Player of the Week (Feb. 10) ... recorded a six-game hit streak and having an RBI in six straight games.  

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2024: Named West Coast Conference Player of the Year and All-WCC first team ... WCC All-Academic honorable mention ... first Bronco to earn WCC Player of the Year honors ... left-handed hitting and throwing two-way standout ... played and started in all 53 games ... 36 starts came in the outfield, primarily at left field with 20 starts ... eight starts came in the circle ... hit in every spot of the batting order except for lead off ... batted the most in the second spot of the lineup with 21 games ... posted a slash line of .333/.380/.545 ... in the circle, went 4-5 with a save in 19 appearances while posting a 4.37 ERA ... led the team in batting average (.333) and slugging percentage (.545) along with hits (55), doubles (9), home runs (8), sacrifice flies (4), and was second in RBI (37) ... topped the team with 17 multi-hit games ... had nine multi-RBI games ... stole 10 bases in 14 attempts ... in 16 WCC games, upped her game with a .353 batting average, six home runs, 19 RBIs, .431 on-base percentage and .784 slugging ... hit three home runs in a game against LMU (April 20) becoming the first Broncos since 2000 to achieve that feat ... had a career-high four hit, seven RBI game against Pacific (May 3), hitting a pair of three-run home runs ... named WCC Player of the Week for her series against Pacific ... hit a walk-off single against North Dakota State (March 8) ... posted a 2-1 record against WCC opponents going 6 1/3 innings in a win against conference champion Saint Mary's and tossing 4 2/3 scoreless innings in relief against San Diego ... tossed a complete game against South Dakota State (Feb. 9) and CSU Bakersfield (March 27) ... struck out a career-high 10 batters against CSU Bakersfield (March 27) ... recorded first career save against Portland State (Feb. 16) ... committed six errors in 102 chances for a .941 fielding percentage.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2023: Named All-West Coast Conference honorable mention ... named NFCA Division I All-Pacific Region second team ... two-way player as a southpaw pitcher and an outfielder ... posted a 5-8 record with a 4.37 ERA in 25 appearances ... made 14 starts and tied for the team-lead with three complete games ... led the pitching staff with a .240 opponent's batting average and strikeouts with 45 ... in league play, led the team in wins (two), ERA (3.29) and opponent's batting average (.173) ... tossed a two-hit shutout at San Diego (May 6) ... struckout a season-high eight batters against Pacific (April 23) ... threw 4 1/3 shutout innings in relief in her Bronco debut against Utah Valley (Feb. 11) ... hit .236 (13-for-55) with six extra-base hits ... hit first career home run along with a season-high three hits against Cal (April 19) ... had three multi-hit and multi-RBI games each ... as an outfielder, did not commit an error in 30 chances and as a pitcher, committed one error in 18 chances for an overall .979 fielding percentage.  

HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Vanden High School in Fairfield, California ... captain of the varsity softball team in 2021 and 2022 ... four-year letterwinner ... named 2019 Pitcher of the Year in the Monticello Empire League ... helped lead Vanden High to the 2019 league championship and to a third place finish of CIF Sac Joaquin Division 1 ... named 2021 Player of the Year in the MEL League ... 

CLUB: Played for LTG Carda/Henderson 16u-18u. Played in the 2021 Colorado Sparkler 16u Power Pool. Played in the 2022 Colorado Sparkler 18u Power Pool. 

GET TO KNOW HAZYL: Inspiration to play college softball came after watching numerous colleges games as a child ... a true left-hander born and raised ... played many sports growing up including soccer, basketball, track, and softball ... father, Hunter Gray, played baseball, basketball, and football and mother, Hyacinth Cabral, ran 4x400M, 800M, and 1500M in Track & Field ... has three siblings; older brother Austin Gray, younger sister Nevaeh Johnson, and younger brother Chase Cabral ...  has three colors in her name - Hazyl, Ruby, and Gray ... her favorite color is gray ...  her hobbies are hiking, taking care of animals and gardening ... aspires to become a pharmacist or something in research and development in laboratories ... has shadowed in-patient pharmacists in the ICU unit of a hospital and would like to shadow more... loves to give time to volunteer at her local SPCA animal shelter ... dedicated time to giving pitching lessons to girls in her community and would like to continue that again... garnered various academic accolades in high school including: 2019-2022 Latin Club, REACH Committee Leader, Link Crew Club, 2020-2022 Soroptomist Club and 2019-2022 Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Vanden High school.
