SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO - Santa Clara men's golf's Muzzy Donohue has earned a spot on the 2023-24 WCC Men's Golf All-Conference Team, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

A native of St. Paul, Minn., Donohue led the team in scoring average at 70.83 strokes per round and played in nine of the team's 11 events. He logged five top-20 finishes, four of which inside the top 10. His best finish of the season was at the White Sands Bahama Invite where he turned in a 12-under 69-70-65--204 to take third. He also twice tied for fourth place at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate (6-under 210) and Gaucho Invitational (8-under 208). 

Donohue also had one of the best outings of recent memory for the Broncos at the Arizona N.I.T., shooting a 14-under 70-66-66--202 to tie for seventh. The 54-hole total was both a career-low and the lowest tally by any Bronco since Matt McCarthy shot a 13-under 200 at the 2019 Alister MacKenzie Invitational.

Donohue finished the season with 15 total rounds under par, including eight in the 60s. 

"Muzzy has shown tremendous growth throughout this season, and this recognition is a reflection of both his hard work and dedication to getting better each day," head coach Andrew Larkin said. "We are proud of the legacy he will leave behind and know this is just the start to what he can accomplish in the game."
