Final Individual and Team Results
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golfers
Muzzy Donohue and
J.P. Odland each tallied top 10 finishes at the Gaucho Invitational. Donohue finished in a tie for fourth while Odland tied for eighth at the par-72, 7,159-yard Sandpiper Golf Course. Santa Clara shot their best round of the tournament on Tuesday, turning in a 9-under 279 as a team to finish the event in fifth at 13-under 851.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Donohue was on fire in Tuesday's final round, carding a 6-under 66 that featured eight total birdies. The round was tied for the second-lowest of any player of 71-player field for the event.
- Donohue finished with a 54-hole total of 8-under 68-74-66--208, which is his third best final tally of the season. It is also his third top-five finish of the season and fourth inside the top 10.
- Odland entered the final round in third, but finished in a tie for eighth at 6-under 68-6-73--210. It is Odland's fifth top-20 finish and third inside the top 10 of the season.
- Jeffrey Kwak shot a 1-under 71 in the final round to tie for 25th at even par-72-73-71--216.
- Cameron Kaiser turned in just his second round in 60s of the year with a 3-under 69 that featured five birdies to finish in a tie for 28th at 1-over 76-72-69--217. It is his third top-30 finish of the season.
- Nolan Forsman also had his best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a 1-over 72 to finish the event 9-over 225 to tie for 50th.
- Nevada claimed both the team (31-under 833) and individual (Enrique Dimayuga - 12-under 204) titles. LMU finished three strokes behind to take runner-up honors at 28-under 836.
