SEASIDE, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf senior
Calder Overfelt shot 2-under par in the opening round of the Saint Mary's Invitational to finish the day tied for ninth at the par 72, 7,104-yard Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Overfelt turned in seven total birdies as part of his 2-under tally.
- Kevin Hollomon shot even par (72) to finish the day tied for 22nd.
- J.P. Odland and Matt Robles each shot 3-over 75 to tie each other for 50th while Max Margolis is a stroke behind in a tie for 60th at 4-over 76.
- Jack Hayden, playing as an individual, shot 5-over 77.
- As a team, Santa Clara sits in 10th place. Arkansas State leads the 16-team field at 9-under 279.
- Arkansas State's Thomas Schmidt leads individually at 6-under 66
