SAN BRUNO, Calif.- Santa Clara women's volleyball saw two star athletes named West Coast Conference (WCC) Players of the Week Monday, as announced by the conference. Sophomore setter
Macy Hinshaw earned her third WCC Setter of the Week award of the season, while redshirt sophomore outside hitter
Cate Shanahan was named the WCC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Hinshaw posted back-to-back double doubles for her sixth and seventh games recording double figures in assists and digs this season. Against Oregon State on Thursday, Hinshaw had 38 assists and 16 digs, while she was an instrumental part of the Broncos historic win over Pepperdine on Saturday with 49 assists and 10 digs. Hinshaw totaled 87 assists over two games this week, averaging 10.88 assists per set. She also tallied 26 digs this week, averaging 3.25 digs per set.

Shanahan, meanwhile, posted a career high 26 kills against the Waves, becoming the first Bronco to tally 25 or more kills since
Layla Truitt on Nov. 10, 2022. She also added eight digs, following up her third double-double of the season with 16 kills and 11 digs against Oregon State on Thursday. Shanahan totaled 42 kills in two matches, averaging 5.25 kills per set. She also had 19 digs in two games this week, averaging 2.38 digs per set.

The Broncos got their first victory over Pepperdine since 2017 on Saturday, improving to 2-2 in WCC play. They will continue their conference schedule Thursday, hosting San Francisco at 6 p.m. in the Leavey Center for their annual Alumni Day. Tickets can be purchased
