SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's basketball has signed a trio of talented newcomers as part of their 2026 signing class. Guards Brayde Kuykendall and Eli Jolin, and center Alex Ensor all officially signed with the Broncos on Wednesday and will join the team as freshmen beginning in 2026-27.
Brayde Kuykendall | Guard | 6'5 | 180
A local product, Kuykendall joins Santa Clara from California High in San Ramon where he helped lead the program to just its second-ever appearance in the CIF State Boys Basketball Championship tournament in 2025 after averaging 13.0 points per game. In June of 2024, he played at Cali Live where he averaged 19 points per game on 45 percent shooting.
Ranked as a consensus top-three player from Northern California for the class of 2026, Kuykendall also played AAU ball for the Arsenal Soldiers on the Nike EYCL circuit where he ranked in the top-30 of the Nike EYCL with 14.8 points per game, and notched five games of at least 18 points.
Eli Jolin | Guard | 6-7 | 185
Jolin is the latest athlete to join the Canada-to-Santa Clara pipeline, joining the team from Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. The 6-foot-7 guard plays for Fort Erie International Academy, one of the top programs in Canada that has produced an abundance of NCAA Division I players over the last few years, including 2023 NBA Draft pick Leonard Miller. The team plays in the Grind Session, one of the most intense high school competitions in North America.
Jolin played AAU ball for Lu Dort Brookwood Elite on the Adidas Circuit where he averaged 11.1 points per game, and logged three 20-point games. Brookwood Elite is among the top programs in Canada and has produced NBA starts such as Lu Dort and Benedict Mathurin among others. He chose the Broncos over an offer from Arizona State.
Alex Ensor | Center | 7-1 | 225
Standing 7-foot-1 with a 7'4 wingspan, Ensor joins the Broncos from Denver, Colo. He is in his first year playing for AZ Compass Prep in the Nike EYBL Scholastic, which houses some of the best programs in the nation. Prior to that, he was a member of Team Pluto on the Nike EYCL circuit where he ranked in the top-20 of the circuit in shooting at 59 percent. He also ranked in the top-five of the EYCL with 29 blocks.
Ensor chose the Broncos over offers from Boston U., Northern Colorado and San Jose State.
