SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Santa Clara men's basketball's Jake Ensminger and Johnny O'Neil were honored by the West Coast Conference on Wednesday for their work in both the classroom and on the hardwood as two of the ten players named to the 2024-25 WCC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team. 

This is the third-straight year that at least one Bronco has earned a spot on the prestigious team and the first time since 2017-18 that Santa Clara has had multiple representatives. SCU and LMU were the only teams to have multiple players named to the 10-man team this season. 

A junior, Ensminger has posted a 3.544 cumulative GPA while working towards his degree in management while O'Neil, a senior marketing major, has a 3.527 cumulative GPA. Both have excelled on the court as well with the duo tied for the team lead of 5.5 rebounds per game. Ensminger has pulled down 10 or more rebounds a team-high six times this season with a career-high 13 against LMU. O'Neil has also averaged 7.9 points and leads the team with 1.0 block per game.
