Women’s Tennis Signs Graduate Transfer from Texas A&M with Championship Pedigree

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis signed Lizanne Boyer, a three-year player at national powerhouse Texas A&M, for the 2025-26 spring dual match season as a graduate transfer.  Boyer will have at least one season of eligibility remaining.

During her three seasons at College Station, the Aggies were SEC Champions each year culminated by a National Championship in 2024.  This spring, Texas A&M once again made it to the national championship match before finishing as national runner-ups.

"I decided to spend my last year of eligibility at Santa Clara because it just felt right," said Boyer.  "I fell in love with the beautiful campus and being in Silicon Valley. Coach Allie and Coach Connor were so genuine and supportive, and the girls on the team welcomed me with open arms. I knew this was a place where I could grow both on and off the court."

A member of the 2025 SEC Community Service Team and a multi SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient, Boyer compiled a 22-15 overall career singles record including 5-2 in dual action.  In doubles she had a 14-8 career mark with a 3-0 record in dual matches.

In juniors, the Dallas native was a five star recruit who was ranked as high as No. 44 nationally and No. 2 in Texas.

"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Lizanne to our Bronco family!  Her energy, warmth, and character are a perfect match for our culture," said Broncos head coach Allie Will-Van Alstyne.  "Lizanne brings a spark that lights up every room she enters, and we can't wait to hit the ground running together.  It's a special and exciting time for our program, and we're so grateful to have her with us."
