SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Another Santa Clara women's soccer player has joined the professional ranks. Lia Henkelmann signed a contract with SGS Essen in Germany.

Henkelmann made 49 appearances for the Broncos with 24 starts during her four years with the Broncos. A regular in the midfield, she scored two goals and added six assists during her career.

Henkelmann also excelled in the classroom, being named 2025 CSC Academic All-District. She was also a two-time (2024 & 2025) WCC All-Academic honorable mention selection.

Henkelmann joins a long list of Broncos to go into the professional ranks.
