SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Three Santa Clara women's soccer players were named to the 2026 United Soccer Coaches MAC Hermann Trophy Positional Players to Watch lists. Izzy De Buyl was on the list of defenders while Mailin Orozco and Kennedy Schoennauer were on the list for forwards.

De Buyl was named Third Team All-West Region last season in addition to All-WCC Honorable Mention and All-Freshman. She appeared in 18 matches and made 16 starts while anchoring the back line.

Orozco was named Preseason All-WCC last week. After missing the 2024 season, she returned last year and led the Broncos with six goals and 14 points while adding a pair of assists. For her work, she was named Second Team All-West Region and Second Team All-WCC.

Schoennauer scored five goals a season ago, including three game-winners, and added three assists for 13 points. Her play earned her Third Team All-West Region and All-WCC Honorable Mention nods.

The season begins Wednesday at San Jose State. The home opener is Sunday against Cal and begins a seven-match homestead. Tickets can be purchased here.
