SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer hit the road for the second consecutive week when they travel to Nashville, Tennessee to take on 2018 NCAA Tournament qualifier Lipscomb on Friday at 5 p.m. PT in the first meeting between the two schools. The Broncos then play at Evansville on Sunday at Noon PT.
THE BISONS (2-3-1)
Coming off a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season, Lipscomb sports a 2-3-1 record this season. Friday's contest with the Broncos will close out a four match homestand where the Bisons are 1-1-1 thus far. Lipscomb should be a well rested group having played just two matches in the last two weeks.
Head coach Charles Morrow enters his 15th season at the helm of his alma mater where he has compiled a 113-135-26 record.
On the season, the Bisons have scored seven goals while yielding 10 and in all three of their losses, the Bisons have given up three goals a game. Seven Bisons have each tallied a goal and Noah Gulden has an assist to his credit to lead the team in points with three.
Goalkeeper Michael Sibley has started in four games but received a red card in the last match in the 1-0 win against Jacksonville. Alex Brown has played in two matches this season, giving up six goals with a .571 save percentage.

Friday's match is the first ever meeting between Lipscomb and Santa Clara.
THE BRONCOS (3-3-1)
The 2019 campaign marks the 18th season at the helm for Santa Clara head coach Cam Rast who leads a squad that returns 23 players including three All-West Coast Conference honorees from a team that finished 5-10-2.
Nineteen of the returners saw action last season with 13 of them appearing in double digit matches to account for 80 percent of its goals and all of its assists.

Javier Ruiz Duran led the team in goals (six) and assists (five) to earn All-WCC Second Team recognition along with senior
Miles Robinson who scored four and assisted on three. Sophomore
Eduardo Lopez Perez tallied a pair of goals and was named to the WCC All-Freshman team.
Redshirt junior
Henning Jolivet brings the most experience between the woodwork playing in seven matches last season to finish with a 3-3-1 record and a 1.89 goals against average.
