Men’s Soccer Signs Central Attacking Midfielder from Canada

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara men's soccer program announced the signing of Diego Jalleau, a central attacking midfielder from the North Toronto Collegiate Institute in Toronto, Canada.

"I chose Santa Clara because I want to join a university not just to earn a degree, but to challenge myself, grow as a person, and surround myself with people who push me to reach my full potential," said Jalleau.

The 6-foot-1 Jalleau was the top scorer for the North Toronto Nitros club team last season and represented Team Ontario at the Canada Games.

"Diego has an ability to link with players coming forward and unlock moments to score goals.  He can slip balls behind defenders and can strike to goal on his own which makes him a dangerous player.  As good as he is at this point, we see his ceiling being much higher.  What that is will be our challenge to help him achieve," said Broncos head coach Cam Rast.
