SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara men's soccer program announced the signings of five more players in addition to the three earlier signings for an eight-member 2026 recruiting class.
In the latest signings, Broncos head coach Cam Rast and his staff signed forward
Bradley Roberson (Santa Cruz, Calif.), midfielders
Isaiah Teng (Chandler, Ariz.) and
Jona Starek (Düsseldorf, Germany), defender
Matthew Crothers (Palo Alto, Calif.) and goalkeeper
Nathan Juillard (Sunnyvale, Calif.).
Earlier, they signed
Yarin Hasson (Netanya, Israel),
Diego Jalleau (Toronto, Canada) and
Anton Carell (Stockholm, Sweden).

Crothers is a local product from Henry M. Gunn High in Palo Alto, California.
"It's always been a dream to play at the collegiate level and being able to play in front of my friends and family so close to home is a dream come true," said Crothers.
The 6-foot-2 center-back made the varsity team his freshman season. In his freshman campaign, he helped lead the team to the Christmas Cup title and earn MVP honors. Crothers also helped lead the Palo Alto Soccer Club team to the playoffs in both the u16 and u17 seasons.
"Matthew is a local product who came to us late in the recruiting cycle. It is not often to find a great fit for an important need late in the process. As talented as he is and with a great make up for a central defender, he will push the others to find time in the backline. We look forward to working with him," said Rast.
Nathan Juillard | Goalkeeper | Sunnyvale, Calif. | SAI Academy
Juillard is a first team all-league Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Northern California goalkeeper.
With a 6-foot-3 frame, the Sunnyvale, California native was a four-time ECNL Northern California region champion and played for the Mountain View Los Altos Soccer Club and the San Jose Earthquakes U18 MLS Next academy team.
At the prep level, Juillard was the Goalkeeper of the Year and first team all-league in the Santa Clara valley athletic league's DeAnza division in 2024.
"Nathan will come in to join a very talented group of goalkeepers," said Rast referring to returners

Carter Tseu and
Sean Bratkowsky. "This will help him learn from experienced guys and compete everyday to maximize his development. He has a very good starting point and we look forward to seeing him grow in the environment."
Bradley Roberson | Forward | Santa Cruz, Calif. | Foothill High
Roberson is a 6-foot-3 striker from the Oakland Roots Sports Club. In February of this year, the Oakland Roots SC announced the addition of Roberson from the Project 510 development team that earned Academy Contracts with the first team. Project 510 is an elite development team and academy for Oakland Roots SC.
"I chose Santa Clara because it is somewhere where I know I will thrive in my academic and athletic goals," said Roberson. "I have only heard great things from current students and alumni. I know with the standard set by the coaching staff, and school as a whole, I will have a great career afterwards."
Roberson, hailing from Santa Cruz, California, was the United Premier Soccer League NorCal South top scorer in 2025 and a two-time UPSL NorCal South Champion in 2024 and 2025.
"Bradley is a talented hold up forward who has worked very hard on his game over the last couple of years with Project 510," said Rast. "His well-rounded ability to create goal scoring moments and functionality to defend as a frontrunner is already at a high level. We are excited to work with him to help him reach his full potential."
Jona Starek | Midfielder | Düsseldorf, Germany| Georg Büchner Gymnasium/Saint Mary's College
Starek is an experienced midfielder with two years of experience at the Division I level having played a season each at UMass Lowell and Saint Mary's.
In his freshman season in 2024 at UMass Lowell, Starek played in eight games and made three starts logging 299 minutes of action.
After transferring to Saint Mary's for the 2025 campaign, the Düsseldorf, Germany native started in all 16 games, going the full 90 minutes in 14 of those matches.
"I chose Santa Clara because it is the perfect balance of lifestyle, soccer and academics. I felt very welcomed by everyone involved," said Starek.
The defensive midfielder will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
"Jona is a very intuitive defensive midfielder. He reads the game well on both sides of the ball, allowing us to earn possession as well as build the game in attack. His experience in the college game should allow him to impact our team immediately. He is a great fit for us," said Rast.
Isaiah Teng | Midfielder | Chandler, Ariz.| Laurel Springs
Teng is a midfielder who played his high school years internationally in the Argentina Futbol Association league for Velez Sarsfield. They were the No. 1 2008 team in Argentina in 2023 and 2024 while being No. 2 in 2025.
"I chose Santa Clara University because I believe it is one of the few schools that fosters immense growth in both education and athletics, allowing student-athletes to pursue their dreams of becoming professionals while also providing a strong educational safety net," said Teng.
The Chandler, Arizona native's journey to Argentina was facilitated by a connection between one of his coaches in the United States and an Argentina based scout.
Prior to his stint in Argentina, he was part of the Real Salt Lake Arizona and Barca Residency Academy teams.
"Isaiah has spent the last two years training in Argentina developing his game before coming to the Bay Area to train with the Oakland Roots. His ability to get forward from the back gives us another option to attack and play in different formations. His commitment to be on a professional path, but also wanting a great education as a top student, led him to consider SCU and ultimately choosing this environment to move to the next level. We are very excited to have him," said Rast.
