SPOKANE, Wash. — The Santa Clara University men's cross country team finished sixth as a squad at the 2025 West Coast Conference Championship on Saturday at The Course in Spokane, led by a top-30 finish from Daniel Trampe.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Trampe placed 29th in 24:24.6 and anchored a tightly clustered scoring group for the Broncos. Freshman Zafer Courcelle followed in 32nd at 24:38.9, with Paul Beaven (36th, 24:54.4), Kyle Berg (38th, 25:03.4), and Jacob McManus (42nd, 25:11.3) rounding out the scoring five.
   
• Daniel Vaca (43rd, 25:11.9) and McCoy Brooks (44th, 25:14.8) also finished among the Broncos' top seven to cap a strong team showing.
   
• Santa completed Saturday's race with a team score of 158, placing sixth among the 10-team field. The Broncos were only 20 points behind fourth-place San Francisco (138 points). Washington State captured the team title with 26 points, followed by Portland (50) and Gonzaga (58) to close out the top three.
