The Broncos fell in their first matchup to Utah 0-5. The No. 1 pairing of
Sadie Snipes and
Sammy Wood took the Utes to two tough sets, barely falling 22-24 in the second set. The Broncos fell in the remaining four matches, but took home the exhibition match with the pairing of
Hayley Hahn and
Kawena Chillingworth 21-18, 21-14.

The Broncos didn't have much better luck in their second match of the day against the hosting Matadors. The No. 2 pairing of
Holland Jackson and
Alexandra Urbina took the Matadors to two sets, falling 23-21 in the second set. Unfortunately, that was the closest the Broncos would get in any of the matches as they lost the remaining pairings in straight sets.

The Broncos travel to San Luis Obispo for the Mustang Roundup next Saturday and Sunday. They will play Grand Canyon and Houston Christian on Saturday, before closing out the tournament against Washington and San Jose State on Sunday.
