Men’s Soccer Signs Proven Goal Scorer from Stanislaus State

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer signed Tyler Tipton, an all-conference forward from Stanislaus State, adding another proven goal scorer for the defending West Coast Conference Co-Champions.

Tipton scored 14 goals this past season for the Warriors to lead the California Collegiate Athletic Association and was named CCAA Forward of the Year.

"I chose Santa Clara University for its academic and athletic excellence and the culture the coaching staff has created," said Tipton.  "I am grateful for the opportunity and I am excited to get started."

The 6-foot-3 forward will have two years of eligibility remaining with SCU.

The 2023 first team All-CCAA and Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-West Region selection finished seventh amongst D-II players in shot accuracy at 69-percent, putting 29 of his 42 shots on frame.  Tipton also finished 10th in goals as well as in goals per game (0.78).

"Tyler is a proven goal scorer at the NCAA level," said Broncos head coach Cam Rast.  "For the past two years he has developed his game in the highly competitive CCAA, leading the conference in goals last season.  Playing in a tandem will continue his development and hopefully make him even more effective. We look forward to him rising up to those same levels once on the field for us."

Tipton is the fifth signee in the 2024 recruiting class.
